What is the Destiny of Humanity?
There is a war on drugs, a war on terror, and a war on bullying.
Why is there so much fear, and anger, and hate in the world?
Where did we learn to think and behave this way?
We’ve learned it from our parents, we’ve learned it from society, but primarily we’ve learned it from the media.
Mother Theresa said
“I was once asked why I don’t participate in anti-war demonstrations. I said that I will never do that, but as soon as you have a pro-peace rally, I’ll be there.”
But fear, anger, and hate are not the cause of all of these wars. They are just a side effect of something much greater. A terrifying feeling deep inside many of us that was born and nurtured and bred to become the gruesome monster that it is today.
It’s the feeling of not enough.
Not being enough.
Not having enough.
Not doing enough.
And therefore, not worthy of love. Not worthy of love from others, but primarily, not worthy of love from yourself.
So in reality, the fear, anger, and hate isn’t really toward anyone but ourselves. It’s a terrifying realization that we refuse to admit or take accountability for, so we find someone or something to blame for our negative emotions. In order to release our negativity, we project it onto others and make them feel fear and anger and hate. That’s how we keep the negative feelings alive to foster and grow, and it only gets worse.
So what is the solution to all of this horrific chaos?
When you fly, the airline will announce that in the event of an emergency, to fasten your own oxygen mask before assisting another flight member. This is a perfect metaphor for life.
It starts with you. Learn to find your self worth and your self love and the hate, anger, and fear will dissipate.
Be the example. Set the example, and begin teaching your children their own self-worth and self love, because they are the ones who can truly create change. They are our future leaders, and they will shape and define the destiny of humanity.
